Moonblossom in Kimono

Painting commissioned by a friend or her likeness in one of the many kimonos from her collection. Was originally meant to be a watercolor but it just wasn't coming out all that great and months had passed since I had lasted worked on it so I decided to just keep working with the digital version.

Medium: Photoshop CS. Everything, even the initial sketch, was done in Photoshop. Background textures from cgtextures.com. I wanted to give it a kind of "scroll" feel to it

Scribble and characters on the bottom are just my signature/seal/name, nothing else. ^^

Finished at 5:30 AM (ATL/GMT-4 so you know). Slept 6 hours or so then went and did some more tweaks to it. Don't feel all that great physically to be honest, eyes are tired, head hurts, and I have tunnel carpal so hands are really hurting and slightly swollen. Had the basic sketch done for this since last year, but didn't really start working on it until last week, been trying to finish every day since then but things kept coming up. Don't think I'll be drawing anything any time soon unless I'm bribed xD
